Google Chrome is crashing worldwide on Windows 10 PCs

Google’s popular desktop browser, Chrome 90 is crashing for some of its Windows 10 users worldwide. If you are facing this problem here's how you can fix it. The search engine giant rolled out Chrome 90 on May 10 this year, packed with new features such as an AV1 encoder, Copy link to highlight, PDF viewer, lite mode, and much more. However, soon Windows users started complaining that their Chrome 90 has crashed. Google Chrome’s tab group feature is now available to everyone "Google Chrome stopped working for me. My extensions crashed and all pages (including Chrome pages like settings) refuse to load. The screen is completely blank, and the tab is simply labeled "Untitled" with a frowning folder next to it," said one user on Reddit. If you are facing the same issue then Bleeping Computer suggests following these steps to stop this from happening. Firstly make sure that your Sync data is correct at https://ift.tt/3hFnrht and passwords to appear at https://ift.tt/1RuMP3W. This Google Chrome extension turns articles into audio playlists Secondly, close any open Chrome instance and then open File Explorer and search: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data. Remove the "Local State" file from the directory made make sure you have a backup of your files. Re-Open Chrome to check whether the issue has been resolved. If the issue persists then you open File Explorer and search: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data and rename the "User Data" folder to some other name and try to re-open Chrome.
