Huawei has confirmed the launch conference of HarmonyOS as well as new products for June 2. This event will also mark the global debut of HarmonyOS.
Alongside this new operating system, Huawei will also introduce a new flagship tablet – MatePad Pro 2 and possibly a new smartwatch – Huawei Watch 3. Both of these products will have a pre-installed HarmonyOS operating system.
However, that’s not it, because the company has even more in its pocket of gadgets that will extend the event time to the maximum and make it more interesting.
According to a well-known Weibo tipster, Huawei will bring a bunch of new “4G” variants of the Huawei phones that were launched previously with 5G hardware. Most importantly, the tipster said that these products will run HarmonyOS out of the box.
Furthermore, the tipster also suggested names of some of these devices:
- Huawei Mate X2 4G
- Huawei Mate 40E 4G
- Huawei Mate 40E Pro 4G
- Huawei Nova 8 Pro 4G
Following the launch, these phones will be available for pre-order through both online and offline channels without any downpayment, and the official sale of these products will start on June 18. While the Mate X2 will be available a little later on, probably by the end of June.
Why 4G:
Huawei is surely running short of chipsets, and the company also wants to push HarmonyOS to as many as users possible. Therefore, it’s the best way to combine both situations and make a good option that could benefit the interest of both the consumer and the company.
First of all, these 4G devices will be available at less price, with the same features and but the only thing that will be stripped from their original version is the 5G network connection. Since the 5G devices are already available to purchase, the consumer may definitely want to drive some 4G gear because the 5G rollout is still far from completion around the globe.
