Huawei Mate 50 Pro display survives dangerous fall

Huawei Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass has proved that it is the strongest screen protector. Once again, the phone has survived one of the dangerous falls. Though the back cover has smashed severely, still there is no damage to the front screen.

Yes, not even a single scratch has been found on the Mate 50 Pro screen. And why not, the phone imposes a robust screen protector – Kunlun Glass on its front surface.

A few days back, a blogger shared a video entitled “battle-damaged version”. The video showcased the Mate 50 Pro in a bad condition. The device was poorly affected due to a dangerous fall on the floor.

Further, the frosty silver back cover of the device has been shattered completely with the fall down. It has holes and wrinkled lines all over the surface. Consequently, it is so damaged that even a slight touch can take off the entire screen.

Front Screen is all safe!

But, the amazing part is, even after so much damage, the front screen is all good. It’s just a contrary point. The back cover has no other option than replacement whereas you can conveniently operate the front display without any problem.

Even the user describes, that the Mate 50 Pro front curved screen does not exhibit any scratches or impairment. It still looks like a new machine.

However, it’s a bit difficult to say whether it is good news or bad news.

Huawei Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass edition is the most beloved smartphone in the Mate 50 series. Consequently, among all the four models, the Pro variant with Kunlun glasses has received the most popularity. And the reason is its anti-fall ability.

While many users are concerned about the screen replacement service, Kunlun glass provides a relief-breathe. Unlike other phones, it does not brings the stress of screen damage from falling. That makes it stands different in the smartphone market.

Kunlun Glass is better, but what about other parts?

But the recent incident made me think twice about this matter. The company has forged Mate 50 series with such techniques that it offers the best user experience. But what about the external parts? Are they secure?

I don’t think so. As shown in the images, the back part of the device is severely cracked into pieces. And I believe, you cannot work with a 50% broken smartphone.

Ironically, Huawei has worked extremely on the device’s front and internal faces but forget to look at the backside. Though the device has really good features to explore. Yet we still need to be careful with its drop-resistant qualities.

Previously, we came across one more such report, where a user successfully broke walnuts with the Huawei Mate 50 Pro display. Funnily, the video illustrated that if you don’t have a hammer then don’t worry as Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass will do the job.

Alongside this, the company has conducted various tests to check Kunlun Glass’s capability. Regardless, looking at the recent incident, I feel like the company should also have tested the back cover of the Mate 50 devices.
