The Huawei P60 currently equips Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Although the performance and power consumption control are better than before, it is still half a generation behind the second-generation Snapdragon 8.
What is it?
In the past, Huawei launched a flagship processor for the Mate series smartphones and uses the same chipset in the next P series phones. This could be the fact of the smartphone.
Since the phone maker is likely to unveil the P60 series in two models, the company may unveil the standard version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the latter with Gen 2.
Still, using Gen 1 in the standard model and Gen2 in the Pro version makes sense in all aspects. It would be interesting to see that happen. On the other hand, it could also be related to the supply chain issues but we don’t have any confirmation on this matter so far.
