Today, an alleged sketch of the Huawei P60 Pro appeared out of nowhere and there’s an interesting fact about the device that could lead us to a center-hole punch screen.
According to the sketch, Huawei P60 Pro has a wide pill shape hole on the screen and this is one of the most interesting characteristics of the device that is changed along with the camera.
The camera probably features a depth camera and a selfie camera to make the sense of that wide notch. However, there’s one more possibility, which is the new dynamic island kind of notification and interactive motion.
You see, HarmonyOS 3.1 is coming and the company will load this software firsthand with the P60 series. Notably, Huawei could put some P60 series to support features similar to the dynamic island.
If Huawei opt-out of this upgrade, then the simple use of that aesthetical overhaul would just be called a new front-facing camera. Still, we would like to see something new if Huawei chose to go with the top center cutout.
Other than that, the sketch also shows curved edges on the left and right sides of the screen. This is a usual feature of Huawei flagship phones and we can’t expect less in this genre.
Past devices:
Looking at past devices, Huawei P30 Pro was launched with a waterdrop notch along with curved edges. The next P series model – P40 Pro digs in a new pill shape camera system on the top left corner. However, the P40 Pro brought in a whole new display with a quad curve design.
Huawei P50 Pro came with a top center punch hole screen to house a selfie camera. Yes, it’s not the first time we’re witnessing these changes in a flagship phone but a new Huawei P60 Pro with a center hole screen would bring some new moves for the consumers.
