After excelling in the short-video market, TikTok is now all set to compete with Apple Music and Spotify as it launches a music streaming service called 'TikTok Music'. As per an announcement made today, TikTok has introduced a new subscription-only music streaming service in Brazil and Indonesia. With the new app, TikTok Music users can sync the service to their TikTok accounts and listen, download, and share songs. The streaming service has music from various international labels, including Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music. Users can download songs for offline use. The feature is similar to that in Snapchat. The TikTok Music subscription costs $3.49 a month in Brazil. It costs $3.25 for iOS users and $2.96 a month for Android users in Indonesia in the first year of launch. TikTok Music doesn't have a free membership option but offers a one-month free trial. TikTok has not revealed further plans regarding the launch in other countries like the US.
