Apple has confirmed a major event on 9 September 2024, where it will unveil its latest iPhone models, along with new AirPods, watches, and the much-anticipated MacBook. The event, dubbed 'It's Glowtime,' will see the introduction of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with reports suggesting the launch of four iPhone 16 variants, two versions of AirPods 4, and three new Apple Watches: the SE 3, Ultra 3, and Series 1. The new products are set to be released on 20 September. According to Apple's official website, the iPhone 16 variants will feature the most advanced cameras yet, powered by ultrafast chips, and will include the long-rumoured USB-C port. Apple has emphasized the impressive speed of the new chips, describing them as "the kind of fast you can feel." Additionally, the new iPhones will offer extended battery life. A key highlight of the event is the introduction of a new feature called “Apple Intelligence,” reflecting Apple’s enhanced focus on integrating AI into its devices. A promotional video revealed that the new iPhones will include AI-based writing tools designed to improve email composition, proofreading, grammar, word choice, and sentence structure. The Genmoji Users can also generate personalized emojis using the “Genmoji” tool, which offers limitless options for prompt-based emoji creation. The “Image Playground” feature will allow users to generate stunning images in seconds, with a range of styles from animation to sketches. The iPhone will now also recognize individuals in your photo library, enabling the creation of custom images, such as birthday greetings. Siri, too, has received a significant AI upgrade. The event will also showcase the MacBook Air equipped with the M3 chip. This iteration promises enhanced performance and up to 18 hours of battery life, making it ideal for both work and play. The MacBook Air remains ultra-portable, under half an inch thick, and is built with 50 percent recycled materials, a first for Apple. The new MacBook Air will also support the "Apple Intelligence" features, available in beta later this year. Speculation on various websites suggests that prices for the new devices could start at $799, with standard 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Plus versions predicted by Tom’s Guide.
